BECAUSE I CAN’T SPEAK ENGLISH

            “ Good evening ladies and gentleman . How are you today?”

            “Good evening , Sir. I am fine thanks. And you ?”

            “ I am fine thank, Ladies and gentleman Welcome to BEST( BKM ENGLISH SPECIAL TRAINING ) and success is ours.”

            “ First of all, I’d like to introduce my self to you. My name is Kurniawan . I’ll be your teacher if  you all agree. I am 30 years old. You know I am an English teacher . I am married. I have one daughter . I live in West java . I live with my family. I think it’s all about me. Thank you.”

            “ Let’s start the lesson now, what is your name, sir ? I ask.

            “ My name is Alfi . “

            “ Nice to meet you Alfi.”

            “ Nice to meet you too!”

            “ Alfi. Why do you study English?”

            “ like this sir, I need English for my job. I work for a Korean Company. My supervisor is Korean . He is stupid. He can not speak Indonesian. He always speaks English with me. And I only can speak English a little. So when he gives me instruction , I don’t understand them. And when I am wrong , he is angry. But fortunately I am not clever in English. So when he gets angry and speaks in English, I don’t know, so …. I don’t care, I do not feel annoyed .”

            “ But why do you study English . Later on you understand when your supervisor gets angry with you ?”

            “ I will get angry with him too, sir.”

            “ Good, but I hope your boss won’t fire you.”

            “ and you . What’s your name Miss?”

            “ My name is Ayu.”

            “ Nice to see you, Ayu.”

            “ Nice to see you too,”

            “ Why do you study English , Ayu?”

            “ Because I can’t speak English yet. And I want to be able to speak English.”

            “ Very good, welcome to BEST ( BKM ENGLISH SPECIAL TRAINING ). It is the right course for you.”

            “ Excuse me sir. Why do you become a teacher and teach English?”

            “ A good question, thank you Ayu. I teach English because I can speak English and I want you to be able to speak English.”

            “ Very good, sir”. Welcome to BEST. And it is the right course for you. “
